What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness. (Romans 6:15-18)
I have many regrets, and that is why grace means so much to me. I (try to) cherish the sacrifice that Jesus has done for me, because there are many. But at one point, the mistakes I make must be things I reflect on instead of the things I do. For what is true repentance, true change of heart, if that does not translate to action? It is His kindness that leads us to repentance, but sometimes I feel like I rely on the kindness more than the repentance as the cure-all when both are equally necessary to cause lasting change.
